Howard D. Scharver, age 94, passed away on October 16, 2023. He was born on January 10, 1929 in Canton, OH to Walter and Francis (Berlyoung) Scharver.
Howard was a life resident of the Canton and Magnolia area. He was an Electrical General Foreman for Republic Steel where he retired.
Those left to cherish his memory are children, Bob (Kendi) Scharver, Steven Scharver, Susan Frix, Gregory Scharver and Nancy Dear; five grandchildren; brother, Gordon Scharver; sister, Marilyn Maxin, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth Scharver who died in 1979; brother, Dale Scharver; brother-in-law, Nick Maxin; his companion of many years Gerry Bess who died in 2019.
Per Howard’s wishes there will be no services.
Arrangements are entrusted to Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral Home 4041 Cleveland Ave S. Canton, OH 44707.
