Howard Franklin Strickland Jr

Howard Franklin Strickland Jr (Frankie or Hammer), 61 years old, passed away on January 21, 2025 at home surrounded by his loved ones. A native of Edgemoor, South Carolina, he was born on September 6, 1963 to Howard F Strickland and Betty C Strickland.
Frankie is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Strickland; son-in-law, Brad Meredith; and three granddaughters, Angelina Sophia, Aubrey Grace, and Mila Louise all of Goldbond, Virginia; as well as sisters, Idella Howell (Joe) and Denise Shepherd (Ronny) both of Edgemoor, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his aunt, Diane Strickland; and life-long best friend, Danny Ashworth.
He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and had a passion for cars, small engine repair, racing, and wrestling. In his free time, he liked to be outside doing yard work and projects with his granddaughters.
He was employed at Mackson for over 20 years where they became a second family to him. Special thank you goes to Hill at Mackson and Joelle, RN and the whole staff at Carilion Clinic Hospice.
