Howard was a friend, mentor, etc. of 40 years, and his Christian witness to me was deeply meaningful. For example, when I troubled about my daughter Amy´s plans to teach in a third world country, Howard simply said God can handle it. When Howard spoke, everything was OK. It all worked out according to God´s plan.
Of course we know Howard has eternal life in Jesus Christ, but I very much miss our special breakfast meetings, often at Waffle House.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family.
Love to all,
Bob

We have lost an amazing man yesterday.
Truly a father figure to a lot of us young men. Ive known him since my early twenties and have been fortunate to spend some good quility time with him over the last few months at his home in Georgia. The strength of this small southern man is compared to the biggest and smartest person you could have ever met. I owe almost all of my success to this man. He has taught me to be a better man in my lifes journeys. His love of God and spiritual ways was a reflection of the man he was. I know today he's flying with the angels and with Jesus. I will miss his so much like all others will as well. Keep his family in your prayers. And out of all the things Howard would say " Out of all the people l know, you are one of them" God be with you all and God Bless.
