Howell W. Marshall, age 83, of West Chester, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at home. He was the loving husband of Mary Ellen "Ginger" (Golden) Marshall, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Born on September 28, 1941 in Ridley Park, PA, he was a son of the late Elizabeth M. (Ruby) and James R. Marshall.
Mr. Marshall was a graduate of Eddystone High School. He went on to complete his undergraduate degree, and receive his master's degree in education, from West Chester University. For 37 1/2 years, Mr. Marshall was a teacher in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District, achieving the "Superior Teacher" award three separate times throughout his career.
An accomplished musician, Mr. Marshall was a drummer in several wedding bands throughout the years. He was proud that, during a show by Bill Haley & His Comets, he filled in for one night as the drummer when the band's regular drummer fell ill.
Mr. Marshall was a huge Mickey Mantle fan and was an avid baseball fan in general. He had a love of travel and was proud to tour the United States with family and friends during many trips. He earned his Private Pilot's License from the Bridgeport Airport in New Jersey, and most recently, he would fly out of Brandwine Airport in West Chester.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Marshall is survived by two daughters, Kimmie Marshall and Kristen, wife of Ron Urbanski; and two grandchildren, El Urbanski and Grace Urbanski.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association by visiting www.alz.org/donate. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Phoenixville, PA. Condolences may be offered online at www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.

To the Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Your husband, father, and grandfather seemed liked such a wonderfully talented and accomplished gentleman. I wish I had had honor to know him. I actually grew up in Ridley Township, right next to Ridley Park! You are in my thoughts an prayers.
