Hoyt D. Ennes, 56, of Monett, MO, passed from this life to his Heavenly home on Friday afternoon, January 6, 2023, while at Cox South, following a sudden illness.
Hoyt was born on March 2, 1966 in Monett, MO, son of Samuel Verdayne and Olafae (Pryor) Ennes. Hoyt graduated from Monett High School with the Class of 1984. He continued his education with a Bachelor of Science degree from SMS in Springfield, MO. Hoyt owned and operated Green World Landscape. He was a member of the Easyville Fundamental Methodist Church, where he was involved as a song leader, youth director, Sunday School teacher and church camps. He enjoyed farming with his dad. Hoyt will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandpa, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.
On February 6, 1992, Hoyt and Nidia W. Pineda eloped in Center, Texas, and had a formal wedding in Monett on April 11, 1992
Hoyt was blessed with a beautiful family and countless wonderful memories. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Nidia, along with daughters, Durrel Tudor and husband Darrin, of Monett, Desirie Smith and husband Jacob, of Willow Springs, MO, and Darissa of the home; four grandchildren, Grayson, Duriah, Dayiah and Gauge; who called him "Pops"; his parents Verdayne & Olafae Ennes of Monett; one brother, Wade Ennes and wife Cheryl of Monett, he was a second dad to, Cinthia Cole, Melissa Munoz and Vanessa Vanden; as well as a host of extended family and friends. He was "Uncle Pops" to Addison Cole, Adalynn Munoz, and Emmaline Vanden.
Funeral services for Hoyt will be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Grace Independent Methodist Church with Reverend Wyatt Howerton officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery south of Monett. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been suggested to Nidia Ennes for medical expenses in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
