Matthew Carl Hancock

Matthew Carl Hancock, age 46, of Monett, Missouri, passed away at 12:33 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born January 5, 1978, in Monett, Missouri, the son of Larry and Rose (Stubblefield) Hancock.
Matthew was a 1996 graduate of Monett High School in Monett, Missouri. He was a farmer, dump truck driver and as he put it, a semiprofessional Go-Kart racer.
On October 1, 2003, he married Robyn Richardson, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Matthew is survived by his wife of 20 years, Robyn; one daughter, Sara Elizabeth Hancock, of the home; his parents, Larry and Rose Hancock, of Monett, Missouri; two nephews, Jacob Hancock of Monett, Missouri and Joshua Hancock of Fair Grove, Missouri; one niece, Ashley Ebbs of Webb City, Missouri; mother-in-law, Ellen Richardson of Aurora, Missouri; one brother and sister-in-law, Garland and Kim White of Aurora, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Betty Stubblefield of Aurora, Missouri and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Matthew was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Hancock; sister-in-law, Tracey Hancock; paternal grandfather, Carl Hancock; paternal grandmother, Patricia Mason; maternal grandfather, Homer Jones; father-in-law, Wm Buck Richardson and brother-in-law, Ralph Richardson.
A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A burial will follow at Spring River Cemetery in Verona, Missouri.
