Hubert L. Paumier "Mix", 93, passed away March 24, 2024. He was born June 24,1930 in Louisville, Ohio to Margaret (Schumacher) and Alfred Paumier and was raised on Brookside Farm. He was loved by all who knew him. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War.
Mix is survived by his sister Thelma Andrie and her children Teddy Ray Ferguson and Linda Hauserler as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many dear friends. He was especially grateful to his cousin Robert Paumier and dear friend Linda Caswell who took excellent care of him during these past several years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Naomi "Kay" (nee Giles) who passed away in 2015 and siblings Russell Paumier and Kathleen Paumier.
Mix was a heavy equipment operator for the Ohio Operating Engineers for 40 years where he kept active for over 65 years. Mix and Kay enjoyed their home at Berlin Lake in North Benton, OH. You would also find him at the Stark County Fair as well as in numerous parades showing his antique garden tractors for over 25 years. He belonged to the Farm Bureau, Louisville Historical Society, American Legion, Eagles and Louisville Grange.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024, 11:00 am, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 300 N. Chapel St. Louisville, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment in St. Louis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice or St. Joseph Senior Living in Louisville where he was well-cared for by the staff in his final years.
