Hubert Pulley Obituary
Hubert Cade Pulley, 87, of Havelock, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at his home.
Hubert was born on April 8, 1936, in Smithfield, North Carolina, to the late Debric and Carrie Pulley. He graduated from New Bern High School back in 1955. After school he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960, showing his strong dedication. Hubert became a successful entrepreneur, owning his business Hubert Pulley Marine and Auto Sales.
Hubert had many passions in life, none greater than his love for drag racing. Known to his racing buddies as “Stick Shift Pulley”, he loved the thrill of the race. When he retired, he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, flying, boating, and collecting corvettes. He lived life to the fullest. Hubert will be missed beyond words and cherished forever.
Those left to treasure his memory are his sister, Carol Meadows (Paul) of Havelock; and 5 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Abba.
