Roger Purser Obituary

A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at Juniper Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Scott officiating. Burial will be in Juniper Chapel Original Free Baptist Church Cemetery.
Roger, a native of Craven County, was born one of six children to the late Blanche Tripp Purser and James Edward Purser on January 17, 1958. He was a graduate of New Bern High School.
Roger worked as a welder for most of his working years and had been employed with The Roberts Company for a number of years. He will be fondly remembered for his friendly nature and sense of humor. A loving son, brother, uncle and friend, he will be missed by the many who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by two of his brothers, James Rodney Purser in 1999 and Edward Earl "Buddy" Purser in 2003.
Surviving are Sister, Judy P. Murray and husband, Tommy, of Arapahoe; Brothers, Ronnie Eugene Purser and wife, Beverly, of Grifton and Kenneth Marion Purser and wife, Frances, of Ayden; and A number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends following the service.
