Arthur Lee Geaslen, Jr., 84, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11 am, in St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, Greenville. The family will receive friends after the service in the Parrish Hall.

Art was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Hagerstown, Maryland. He attended Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh, where he graduated in 1959. He then graduated from North Carolina State University in 1972 and joined the United States Coast Guard. He later moved to Raleigh.

Arthur was the owner/operator of Art's Vintage Wine Shop in Raleigh. After retiring, the family moved to New Bern, North Carolina, where they lived for eight years. Art was a wine connoisseur and enjoyed hosting wine tastings. He was an avid NC State fan; and enjoyed meeting and talking to people, fishing, and playing golf, bridge, canasta, and Yahtzee!.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lois Geaslen, Sr.; and sister, Susanne Braithwaite.

Arthur is survived by his: loving wife of 62 years, Joyce Schuyler Geaslen; daughter, Janelle Geaslen McTernan, and husband, Robert of Ayden, son, Arthur Lee Geaslen, III and wife, Carrie of Fuquay-Varina, daughter, Schuyler Geaslen Williams and husband, Ben of Winterville; grandchildren, Avery Williams, Latham Williams, Addison Geaslen, and Lee Geaslen; and

brothers, David Geaslen and wife, Roxanne, and Phillip Geaslen and wife, Susie.
