Indian Trail, NC - Hugh E. Snyder, Jr., 70, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025 at Lake Park Rehabilitation Center in Lake Park, North Carolina.

He was born August 15, 1954 in Lakeland, TX, a son of the late Hugh and Dorothy (Lucansky) Snyder, Sr.

In 1955, he moved from Texas to Ohio with his family, eventually finding a true sense of home in Struthers. He graduated from Struthers High School in 1973, where he proudly played football and began to shape the determined, hardworking man he would become. After high school, he went to work at Youngstown Sheet & Tube until the mill closed. He took the opportunity to further his education, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Plumbing Design from Youngstown State University.

He later made a new life in North Carolina, where he spent nearly 30 years doing work he loved as a plumbing designer for several companies. He poured his heart into every project, always striving for excellence. While there, he found not only professional success but also deep friendship. His bond with Mark Donado became one of the great joys of his life-they shared laughter, watching NASCAR races, and going to concerts. He never forgot his roots though, and would occasionally come back to the area to visit family and to catch up with friends. And when he couldn't come home, he always made sure to ask about each and every one of his nieces and nephew and how they were doing.

He leaves behind his two sisters, Dawn (David) Burich of Struthers and Diana (Jeff) Hames of Millvale, PA; his nephews, David (Dr. Erinn) Burich, Daniel Burich, Jeff Hames, and Adam Hames; his nieces, Susan (Rob) Pruden, Lisa Cavell, and Emilee Hames; great-nephew, Zach; great-niece, Nora; and his brother-in-law, John Panamarczuk.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorie Panamarczuk.

There will be no services or calling hours. He will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Coitsville.
