Humberto "Veto" Rivas

Humberto (Veto) Rivas, age 57, was granted his angel wings on February 2, 2022 so he could join his favorite person in heaven. His final days were spent surrounded by family.

Veto lived a fulfilling life as a father, brother, tata, tio, son, and friend. Veto's legacy is that he was extremely loyal, honest, strong, and loved his family and friends unconditionally. He had an infectious smile that could change your mood and make you feel safe and happy. He didn't allow many people into his personal life, but you knew you had a friend for life if you were fortunate enough to be a part of his inner circle.

Veto missed his calling in life – a comedian – because he was so witty and would "insult" you with such grace and humor that you had no choice but to laugh! Veto loved to restore vehicles, cook, and spend time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Veto is survived by his daughters Michelle (Scott), Celeste, Cierra, Chelsea, Savannah, and Ciley; son Michael; father Jose; brothers Joe (Carmen), Lorenzo (Mary Ann), and Hector (Maribel); sisters Alice (Jim), Rita (Orlando), and Antonia (Donny); grandkids Julianna, Malina, Andrew, Michael Jr, Chloe, and Alfonso Jr. His family will miss him tremendously, but at peace knowing he's with his mom, Mary.
