Hunter Matthew Ebie, age 11, lovingly known as "Bub" or "Lil FatFat" to those who knew him best, went to be with Jesus and his Uncle John on June 7, 2024.
Hunter was born on October 15, 2012 in Akron, Ohio and was excited to start sixth grade with his friends at Schrop Intermediate School in Springfield Township. He loved playing football with the Springfield Spartans.
Hunter loved being outdoors and going on adventures with his friends and family. He and his sisters and cousins would stay out all day if they could and he was always eager to throw the ball around with his Dad, friends, and neighbors. He also enjoyed collecting sea glass and rocks with his whole family. Hunter had so much fun at family get-togethers and parties.
Hunter was a sweet kid with a great smile. He was strong-willed, quick-witted and independent. Even at a young age, he was generous and quick to help and protect those in need or stand up for the underdog. He will never be forgotten and will remain in our hearts forever.
Hunter will be deeply missed by his parents, Diana Ebie and Sam Chambers; sisters, Charlotte and Amelia; his MalMal and PaPal, Shelly and Roger Ebie; Grandma and Grandpa, Paul and Stacy Chambers; great-grandparents, Charles Higgins, Jeanne Ebie, Rick and Karen Barry; aunts and uncles, Matt and Lora Ebie, Ryan "FatFat" Ebie, Kara Ebie, Chad Ebie and Angela Porter, Julie and TG Walker, Ashley Chambers. He also leaves his cousins: Gabe, Kiley, Chase, Izzy, Dean, Mollie, Annabeth, Jaydon, Aaleyah, Peyton, Mya, Noah, Kaley, Harper; his girlfriend, Riley; his very best friends, Keith, Liam, Micah,Trenton, Georgie, and Alonzo; special friends, Landon Lane and Tammy Dotts; and his two faithful pets, Scooby and OJ.
Hunter's life will be celebrated on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305. Family and friends may visit from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Memorial service will begin at 3:00 pm. A second memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Full Gospel Tabernacle, 939 Utica Ave, Akron, Ohio 44321 for those who cannot attend Friday's service.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. I don't think I have accepted that i won't see you again. This is not how I imagined you leaving us at all and it pains me to realize that you won't be there for me to walk down the aisle and you be my brides made even though ur a guy, We really never had dull moments together, as we were always up to something mischievous and funny. No one ever understood me the way you did. You were one of the very few people who knew all of my fears, secrets, goals, and everything that made me, me, and yet you still loved me unconditionally.. I'll always love you fatfat, I miss you so much, it still brings tears to my eyes when I realize I'll never see you again. You were my cousin by blood, but you were my friend by choice. Hunter, the world is better because you were in it, you always were so helpful. I hope the angels know what they have.. i'll bet its so nice up in heaven since you arrived.

I don't know what I'm supposed to do.. Haunted by the ghost of you
Oh... take me back to the night we met..<3 -molls
