Robert L. Ebie, age 91, of Mogadore, OH, died on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at home surrounded by family.
Robert was born April 9, 1934 in Ravenna, OH to Harold and Vera (Domer) Ebie.
Robert as an Insurance Agent for 37 years, a past Brimfield Township Trustee for 20 years and a member of the Brimfield Lions Club and Portage County Farm Bureau. He loved farming, growing crops and raising animals on the farm him and Mildred built. They taught their children by example and that has also been passed on to grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Karen (James) Beck of Coventry, OH, Deanna (Thomas) Fertig of Brimfield, OH, Deborah (Gordon) Miller of Uniontown, OH, and Daniel (Kimberly) Ebie of Brimfield, OH; grandchildren, Samantha Vitarella, Travis Ebie, Angela Moreau, Michael Delaney, Jeffrey (Melissa) Delaney, Alisen Fertig, Zachary Fertig, Garrett (Shannen) Fertig, and Kelsea (Jason) Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Lisa Vitarella, Faith Vitarella, Paige (Chris) Sherrrill, Danni Leigh Moreau, Wesley Bates, Samuel Vitarella, Lucas Vitarella, Colton Moreau, Jaxton Fertig, Kendall Fertig, Jessa Fertig, Gavyn Delaney; great-great-grandchildren, Michael Moreau, and Joshua Bates; brother, Carl L. Ebie; sister, Grayce Woerz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Ebie, grandchild, Anthony Vitarella; parents; brother, L. Ray Ebie; sister, Joyce Persinger.
Calling hours will be held 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, May 16, 2025 and 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Victory Baptist Church 4167 State Route 43, Kent, OH 44240. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Victory Baptist Church with Pastor C.W. Whetsel officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church.
