Hyacinth Alice Egan Rupp Seltzer, 88, of Alpharetta, GA, passed away surrounded by family on November 10, 2025. She was born July 30, 1937, in Rochester, NY, to Hyacinth and Patrick Egan. Hy was a homemaker for many years and also served as a manager at Franklin’s Printing in North Atlanta. Hy’s passions included painting, cooking, and camping. She also loved nothing more than a good wedding where she was known to dance the night away. Hy loved to “Celebrate Good Times”. After retirement, she loved to travel to Fort Myers Beach where she spent many weeks each year with her siblings. She especially enjoyed collecting seashells and simply walking along the beach. She loved spending time with her family and was excited when her son Dave, daughter Char, and son-in-law Brad visited from California.
Hy was preceded in death by her husband Bernie Seltzer, son David Rupp, and siblings Patrick, Helen, Thomas, Mary Lou, Edwin, and William. She is survived by her three daughters: Geri Rhodus (Greg), Lynne Patterson (Greg), Charlene Rhodus (Brad), stepson Scott Seltzer, and David’s longtime companion Doris Dutton. She is also survived by four grandchildren (Amanda, Kyle, MaryClare, and Madilyn), three great grandchildren (Kayleigh, Derek, and Asher), her brother David (Joan), sister-in-law Dorothy, and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia or St. Jude’s’s Children’s Research Hospital.
