Senior Airman Ian Connor Rawley passed on from this life on August 8, 2022 in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 23. He was born on January 12, 1999 in Humble, Texas to father, Daniel Rawley and mother, Leslie Gordon.
Ian graduated Manvel High School in 2017, and from there he went straight into the United States Air Force, where he graduated A-10 training in February 2018. He was a Crew Chief on the A-10 Warthog fighter aircraft, the 355th equipment maintenance squadron, while stationed at Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson.
Everyone loved Ian and his close friends considered him a brother. He enjoyed camping, exploring, and going places, even just for a ride. He loved his flannels, target shooting, D&D, magic games, going to Marvel Movies, hanging with friends, and playing with computers. He also loved video games, samurai jack cartoons, history channel, and enjoyed watching the monsoon rain storms in Arizona. Ian was very smart and especially loved making people laugh, as well as making memories with all his family and friends. Those memories are now the gifts he has left behind for those who loved him to treasure, always keeping him close.
He leaves behind his parents; sister, Alexandria Rawley; brother, Kasper Gordon; stepfather, Joel Gordon; niece, Rose Jenkins; as well as many other relatives and countless friends.
Ian was a beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, and trusted, cherished friend. He will be missed by a host of family and friends until we meet again!
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Murphy s Chapel Cemetery in Marion, NC.
