Ida Andrade was called home by the Lord on May 12, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband, James F. Andrade. Ida was a seamstress and local union steward in the New Bedford textile industry.
She is survived by her sister Aldina Pires and daughters Diane Holden and Debra McCarthy. She leaves behind her son-in-law Thomas Holden, three grand children; Christina Soileau, Jamie Holden and Sean Holden, five great grand children; Nicholas Soileau, Evangeline Soileau, Joseph Holden, Thomas Holden and Elijah Holden, two nephews; Daniel Pires, Robert Pires and their families.
Ida's visitation will be held on Sunday, May 18th from 2-4pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home. Her Funeral Mass will be on Monday, May19th at 10:30am at St. Francis Xavier in Acushnet. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
