Ida Fern Brown, 83, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Henry County Health in New Castle. She was born May 20, 1940, in Rowan County, Kentucky to Roy and Eva Mae (Kidd) Prince.
Fern was a homemaker and attended Open Arms Church. She had been active in the Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing bingo.
Fern is survived by husband Ernest Brown, whom she married July 9, 1955, sons: Ernest E. (Melanie) Brown of Pendleton, Ronald Brown of Middletown and Michael (Debra Cavaletto) Brown of New Castle; daughter Sherry Hiatt of Middletown; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, sisters Shirley (Bruce) Smith, Wilma York and Mary Lou (Lee) Keesling, Susan (Jeff) Feno, and Jane Remington brothers Dennis (Buffy), Ray Michael (Becky), Rob(Kim),Roger (Betty),Terry, Paul, Lee Prince and many nieces and nephews along with 3 little furry friends.
Fern was preceded in death by her daughter Regina Hiatt, Parents Eva Mae and Ed Williamson, Roy and Geneva Prince along with several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
A funeral to celebrate Fern's life will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 1:00 pm. Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Green Hill Memory Garden. Online condolences may be shared at www.rosecityfunerals.com.

Her baby-sitting me, on S. 17th street. She had sea horses by the front window and when it was nap time, she would always come let me get up after the other kids fell asleep. I have many many fond memories of my Aunt, I miss you so very much
