Ida Jacqueline (Jackie) Jandt passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024 in Seguin, Texas at the age of 88.
Jackie was born in Houston, Texas on August 16, 1936 and married the love of her life, Kenneth Jandt, on August 2, 1958. They lived happily in a bond of love for 66 wonderful years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albrecht and Edith (Carlstrom) Urbauer and sister Ethel Lutes.
Jackie is survived by her husband Kenneth, sister Ollie Stuart, two children Jeffrey Jandt and his wife Nancy and Suzie Brady and her husband David.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Brittany, Micah, and Sarah Jandt, and Alexandra Brady, along with many nieces and nephews.
Jackie graduated from Dickinson High School in 1954 and Texas Lutheran College in 1958, where she met her husband, Kenneth. They were married shortly after graduation.
Jackie was a homemaker and valued employee of Guadalupe County Abstract Company/Alamo Title until her retirement in 2003. After her retirement, Jackie worked as a volunteer in the gift shop at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center for over 20 years, a job she greatly enjoyed.
Jackie was a founding member of the Seguin League of Arts and Crafts and spent many years participating in local art shows and displaying her oil painting, folk art, and other crafts. She was an active member of Emanuel's Lutheran Church and enjoyed participating in the Ladies Aid Quilters.
Jackie's celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Tom Jones officiating.
A reception will follow in the Women's Ministry Room at Emanuel's Lutheran Church.
Memorial contributions can be sent to the Guadalupe County Humane Society, P. O. Box 1593, Seguin, Texas, 78155-1593.
