Ida Mitchell Obituary
She was born on August 18, 1964, in Greenville, KY, to Genova Duncan Arndell and the late Edwin Wickliff Hutchings. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going to the racetracks. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren. Ida was a member of Silent Run Missionary Baptist Church in Nebo, KY.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years, Shelby Dayle Mitchell; son, Jonathan Dayle Mitchell; brother, Eddie Hutchings; and her sister, Kathy Arndell.
Her survivors include her mother, Genova Duncan Arndell of Madisonville; son, Lee Mitchell; sister, Judy (Patrick) Barbre of Greenville, KY; brother, Randy Hutchings of Drakesboro, KY; granddaughter, Mallorie Mitchell; grandson, Zachary Mitchell and Brandon Watson; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Silent Run Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Nebo, KY with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
