Ileana Barillas Stark
August 10, 1958 – October 14, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ileana Barillas Stark, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on October 14, 2025, in Cedar Park, Texas. She was 67 years old.
Born on August 10, 1958, in Guatemala City, Ileana carried the spirit and beauty of her homeland with her throughout her life. After studying interior design, she met and married the love of her life, Bryan Stark, on October 22, 1983. Together, they built a joyful and loving life filled with family, laughter, and countless cherished memories. They were blessed with three children-Michael, George, and Laurie-who were the center of Ileana's world.
Ileana was the very definition of a devoted wife and mother. From school bake sales to sports practices, she gave her time freely and lovingly, always ready with a warm smile and helping hand. Her talents in the kitchen were especially known and treasured-her beautifully crafted cakes became a hallmark of family celebrations and special moments among friends.
Her deep love for her home country of Guatemala remained a constant throughout her life. She often returned to visit family and explore the breathtaking cities of Guatemala City, Antigua, and Quetzaltenango-places that brought her joy and peace.
Those who knew Ileana will remember her as a vibrant, warm, and friendly soul. She had a gift for conversation and laughter, and her presence filled any room. Whether she was sipping coffee or a margarita with loved ones, decorating for Christmas (her favorite time of year), or sending her latest funny video, she made sure everyone around her felt joy and love.
Ileana had a special connection with nature and animals, particularly those in her own backyard. She never missed a day of feeding the deer, squirrels, and birds-always armed with corn, apples, or peanuts. Her garden was another source of pride, and she lovingly tended to her plants, especially her treasured orchids.
Ileana is survived by her loving husband of nearly 42 years, Bryan Stark; her children Michael Stark, George Stark, and Laurie Stark; her grandchildren Wesley and Autumn; her sister Malú Bonilla and brother Juan Carlos. She was preceded in death by her parents, Telvy and Jorge.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM, followed by a celebration of Ileana's life at 5:00 PM at 300 Marquis Lane, Cedar Park, Texas. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and honor her beautiful life.
Ileana's warmth, humor, and boundless love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit lives on in the many lives she touched, the beauty she created, and the love she so freely gave.
