Peter Leo Stark

Peter Leo Stark, 88, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and a love for life's simple pleasures. Born May 7, 1936, Peter was the beloved son of Peter Francis Stark and Marie Win Stark and the cherished brother of Norman Stark, Joan Johnson and Marilyn Matosian.

Peter was a devoted father to his three children: Sean, Duncan, and Dustin. His love for his family was ever-present, and he cherished the time spent with them throughout his life. His children carried on his legacy, with Sean's children, Taylor and Collin; Duncan's children, Connor and Sara; and Dustin's children, Gianna and Dustin.

Peter made his living as a dedicated salesman, known for his sharp wit and ability to connect with anyone he met. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built over the years, always eager to lend a helping hand and offer words of encouragement to those around him.

An avid sports enthusiast, Peter found immense joy in both golf and cycling, spending many hours on the course and the road, enjoying the freedom and challenge these activities brought him. His passion for the outdoors and an active lifestyle was a hallmark of his character, and he took every opportunity to instill that same love for adventure in his children and friends.

Peter was previously married to Carla Stark, with whom he shared many important years of his life. Though they parted ways, their shared history remained a significant part of Peter's journey. He maintained deep and lasting friendships, many of which spanned decades, and was always ready with a smile or a joke to lighten the mood.

Peter attended Cathedral Prep and later went on to Gannon University, where he cultivated a lifelong love for learning. He was also an accomplished chess player, known for his strategic mind and ability to outthink opponents.

He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren, family, and friends, whose lives were touched by his generosity, humor, and zest for life.
