Judith Tidball King (Judy), 83 passed away unexpectedly on April 30th 2025. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, and grandmother, and cherished friend to many.

Judy was born in Cambridge, Ohio on October 23, 1941, daughter of the late John and Rosemary Tidball.

Judy attended St. Benedict Central school in Cambridge and graduated in 1959. She became a registered nurse after attending Good Samaritan Nursing School in Dayton Ohio in 1961. Judy also received a Bachelors in Nursing from Gannon University and later a Masters degree in Mental Health from Edinboro University. Judy practiced nursing in Ohio, State College, Pa, and Charlotte, NC. She moved to Erie, Pa in 1979 with her family.

Judy worked as a Nurse and in the medical field for nearly 50 years. Throughout her nursing career she treated everyone with love and dignity. She worked in nearly every discipline in nursing. She was in the first group of practitioners in Erie that helped to develop and deliver hospice care with the Visiting Nursing Association. She spent many years working in Labor and Delivery in Erie, eventually as lead nurse for her units in multiple hospitals.

Judy was an avid reader and participated in the Women's Literary Club of Erie for many years. She was an active member of the Catholic church and a close friend of the Benedictine community. She was an accomplished seamstress and made clothes for family for many years, including wedding dresses for her three daughters and her daughter in law. She loved to swim at the Erie YMCA and sail with her husband out of the Commodore Perry Yacht Club. Most of all, Judy was a source of love and light for all of those around her. She was an inspiration to her 4 children.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Victor. She is survived by her children Suzanne (Jack) of Cleveland OH, Jennifer (Jim) of Annapolis MD, Betsy (Chuck) of Edinboro, Daniel (Erin) of Morris Plains NJ and grandchildren Madison, Kate, Lily, Meg, Ellie, Jake, Matthew, Will, Libby, David, Mitchell, and Annie and great granddaughter Elaina.
