Imelda “Darlene” Hutton, 77, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, July 13, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born May 9, 1947, to the late Joseph and Anna Rosalie Bell. Darlene was a member of St. Pius X. She previously worked as a teacher’s aid at St. Alphonsus and retired from Hancock Fabrics after many years. Darlene loved going to church and spending time with her church friends. She was an animal lover, Harry Potter fan, and homebody at heart, where she enjoyed sewing, word puzzles, card games, watching the birds, and baking, especially around Christmas time.
In addition to her parents, Darlene is preceded in death by her sisters, Regina Bell, Benita Hudson, and Kathy Bell.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 57 years, John Hutton; daughters, Jayme Hutton, of Weirton, West Virginia, and Stephanie Hutton; son, Wes Hutton, of Henderson; sister, Tressa Miller (Corey); brothers, David and Richard Bell; grandchildren, Makayla McKannan (Nate), Jordan Mattingly (Destiney), Garrett Hutton, Jeri Lynn Hutton, Samantha Vadan (Will), Johnathon Shreves, Regina Nicholson (Kenny), and Dakota Shreves (Mackenzie); as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
