Robert Nelson Rogers, 70, of Owensboro, KY, entered the heavenly kingdom, with family by his side, on February 12, 2026. He was born to John C. Rogers, Jr and Billie (Stinogel) Rogers on April 2, 1955.
Bob married the love of his life, Gaye, in 1973. Together, they raised three children.
He retired as a surveyor from HRG, was Co-Director of Word and Spirit Ministry Center and Healing House, and served at Rivertree Church. He enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother Alan and sister Linda.
He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Monica Gaye (Howard) Rogers; daughter Carrie Claypool (Todd) of Shelbyville, KY; sons Keith Rogers (Lanette) Conway, AR, Nic Rogers (Leanne) of Sunbury, OH; grandchildren Tyler Claypool (Haili), Joshua Claypool, Dawson Claypool (Gabi Cissell), Ryan Rogers (Ella Rikard), Emma Rogers, Alexa Rogers, Blake Rogers, Aubrey Rogers; great grandchildren Angellica Jo and Iris Bloom; siblings, John Rogers III, Trish Baggerly (Danny), Tom Rogers, Mary Sucin, and Donna Jackson (Craig).
Bob was described as a good friend and listener who gave great advice – a kind soul whose life reflected God’s love, and a devoted Christian, whose gentle spirit touched every life he met. His family and dear friends feel blessed beyond measure to have had him in their lives and find comfort knowing that he is at home with his heavenly father.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 16 at Rivertree Church where visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
