Ina May Koors, 84, of Westfield, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. She was born on December 7, 1940 in Somerset, Kentucky.
Ina was known for her work ethic, always striving to be the best she could be. She started in the work force at Western Electric, then worked at Elliott Pharmacy in Sheridan, Spicewood Egg Farm, Woods Wire, and finally retiring from Roche Diagnostics after 21 years. 12 years of retirement was too much, so Ina went to work at Kroger as a u-scan cashier. She worked there for 10 years, up to within 2 weeks of her death. Ina went years without missing a day of work. She was an employer's dream, always striving to do a good job and bettering herself. Ina was a warrior!
She also enjoyed shopping and crocheting, and was a die-hard Notre Dame fan. Ina was a superfan of Elvis Presley back in the day, and more recently, Vince Gill. Most of all, Ina loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
She is survived by her sons, Rick (Tonya) Kercheval, Bryan (Kimberly) Kercheval, and Brant (Soni) Kercheval; brother, Wayde (David) Turney-Bozell; step-father, Jim Turney; grandchildren, Morgan (Michael) Kercheval, Lindsey (Keifer) Hansen, Tess Kercheval, Max Kercheval, and Courtney Mecklenburg; 5 great-grandchildren; nephew, Johnny (Sherrie) Cloud; and her former husband, Carl Koors.
Ina was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Wilson; mother, Alice Wallen Turney; sisters, Betty Cloud and Charlotte Rhodes; nephew, David Rhodes.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with services at 2:00 pm, on Friday, October 31, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville. Rev. Stanley R. Sutton will officiate. Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 (www.stjude.org).
