Julia Ann Koors, a beloved member of her family, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on February 19, 1958, Julia's life was marked by her unwavering love, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her.
A proud graduate of Elwood High School, Julia worked at the Walmart Distribution Center in Gas City, Indiana, where she dedicated herself to her work and was cherished by her colleagues. Outside of her professional life, Julia embraced her passions with an open heart. She found great happiness in the outdoors, indulging in activities like canoeing, hiking, and bird watching. Her love for nature was matched only by her affection for animals, especially her beloved dog, Rosco, and her cat, Crystal.
Julia's spirit was infectious, always radiating warmth and positivity. Her huge smile could light up the room, and her loving nature created bonds that will endure far beyond her time with us. She leaves behind a legacy of care and compassion that will be sorely missed.
Julia is survived by her life partner, Josh Robertson; her children, Andrew Koors, Drew Robertson, and Brianna Robertson; her stepsons, Chris (Celina) Koors and Mark Koors; her sisters, Susan (Joe) Parish and Joanne Beeman; her brother, Clifford Beeman; as well as many other family members, including four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews who cherished her.
Though she is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Beeman; her mother, Beatrice Hicks Beeman; and her brothers, Donnie Beeman and David Beeman, Julia's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
As we gather to celebrate Julia's life, her presence will be felt at the Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home in Marion, Indiana, where visitation will take place from 5 PM to 7 PM on January 17, 2025, followed by a memorial service at 7 PM. Let us honor her loving spirit and the joy she brought into our lives. Online condolences may be shared at www.ravenchoate.com.
