Dawn Elaine Koors

Dawn Elaine Koors, 71, of Taylor Mill, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood. Born July 4, 1953, in Covington, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Janice McDonnell Bridges. She was preceded in death by her brother Burton Bridges and half siblings Donald Bridges and Shirley Steffen. She is survived by her husband Michael H. "Mike" Koors, her children, Jeff Koors; April Miller (Nick); Rob Koors (Blake); her beloved grandchildren Max, Gavin, Ellie, Remini and Saylor; her brothers and sisters, Dennis Bridges (Jel); Lloyd Bridges (Kathy); Holly Mayerchak (Dave); Lois Edwards (Basil); Derf Bridges (Haydee) and many family and friends. To know Dawn was to love Dawn and if you were lucky enough to know her, then you know she lit up a room with her smile and hugs. She held many titles throughout her life. She was a retired Instructional Assistant at Kenton County Schools and loved teaching kids to read. She was a wife, a mother, a sister, and a friend. But her favorite role she ever had was grandma. She loved her grandchildren fiercely. Funeral services will be held 1PM Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Floral Hills Funeral Home (Chapel A) with Fr. Eric Boelscher officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11-1 PM. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Floral Hills is honored to serve the Koors family.
