She is survived by her children Calvin Murphy, Samuel Miller, Wanda Miller, Joanne Miller, Victoria Miller and Laura Petrie, as well as many other loving family members.
Her family will receive friends on Monday, Jan 27, from 9 to 11AM at the Bethel AME Church, 19 Academy Street, Norwalk. Her Funeral Services will begin at 11AM, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.

Our condolences to the Miller Murphy Family. "They don't make'em like Mrs. Miller anymore!
As neighbors living upstairs, we grew up in the Murphy Miller household as neighborhoods and family. We shared a common thread as brothers and sisters, especially having the luxury of mentors and being protected living in the neighborhood.
I remember Mrs. Miller working for Pepperidge Farm and seeing her in her uniform. She demanded excellence on a daily basis with many stories of her laying down the law with tough love.
I also believe there is some history of her athletic ability centered with sports icons during that era.
The memories on Main Street are long gone, but the memories will last for eternity.
