Inez Casper Obituary
Inez Louisa Ann Casper, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Pine Point Hospice in Macon. Born on August 27, 1937, in Jamestown Island, St. Helena, Inez was the cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Joyce Gunnell Thomas. She lived a life filled with service and adventure.
Inez's story of love began in England, where she met the love of her life, her husband of more than 50 years, Jerry at a dance. Together, they built a loving home and shared countless memories. Known for her larger-than-life personality, Inez was a proud member of the Daughters of the British Empire, where she found camaraderie and community. She was also a passionate political enthusiast, a lifelong passionate traveler, and an avid reader.
In her professional career, Inez worked as an executive assistant for the Air Force Reserve Command in civil service for over three decades. She served with distinction on base before her well-earned retirement.
In addition to her parents, Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry William Casper; and three siblings.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Denise Mercury (Peter) of England; and Gary David Casper of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jason Mercury (Pamela), and Kara Symonds (Dean Osbourne), all of England; great-granddaughter, Adriyanna Mercury of England; as well as siblings, Nina Richardson, Lorraine Johnson, and Bridget Crowie; and several other beloved extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Inez Louisa Ann Casper will be laid to rest privately.
