Inez L. Ewing

Inez L. Ewing, age 82, passed away peacefully in Lone Tree, Colorado (Formerly of Fort Dodge, Iowa) on Friday August 19, 2022, surrounded by her husband and four children. Inez was born on April 12, 1940 in Webster City, Iowa to Fred and Mata Wilson. She was the youngest of seventeen children and at the age of 12, her sister Ruth (Brighi) Walker and husband Bill Brighi lovingly invited Inez to live with them in Badger, Iowa. She attended Fort Dodge Senior High School and subsequently attended Long Beach Trade School, attaining a certification in data entry.
Inez married Gary Ewing, July 30, 1960 in Fort Dodge, Iowa and celebrated 62 years with the love of her life, this past July. The two had four children, Tami, Michael, Dennis, and Mia.
Inez is survived by her loving husband, Gary Ewing, her loving children and their families: Tami (Ewing) and Tracy Pavillard and their children, Caley, Tori, and Amanda; Michael Ewing and Dawn (Macias) and their children, Donovan, Mikaela, Makenzi, and Madison; Dennis Ewing, and Mia (Ewing) and Vinny Curran and their children, Jack and Griffin; and her loving sister Ruth (Brighi) Walker and many nieces and nephews.
Inez had a passion for God and her faith was unshakable. Inez was a dedicated prayer warrior, praying daily, and she and Gary would recite the Rosary every evening. Inez and Gary are members of Pax Christi Catholic Church in Littleton, Colorado.
Inez and husband Gary retired to Highlands Ranch, Colorado in 1999 to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Inez described the past 23 years as the best of her life, as her grandchildren were her everything. Above all else, Inez loved her family.
Special thanks are offered to Brighton Hospice and Inez s caregivers who during the last few months helped to provide loving care for Inez.
A viewing and Rosary for family and friends is scheduled for Wednesday August 24, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Heflebower Funeral Home, 8955 S. Ridgeline Blvd. Suite 100, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129.
Funeral services will be held Thursday August 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Pax Christi Catholic Church, 10675 Jaguar Drive, Littleton, CO, 80124.
Burial services will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Castle Rock, Colorado.
Family and friends are welcome to a luncheon at Pax Christi Catholic Church reception hall following the cemetery service.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be used by the family to honor Inez.
