Inez Ledford Obituary
Inez Brooks Ledford, 88 of Otto, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024. She was born March 9, 1936, in Swain County, NC to the late Robert and Sara Brooks. Inez enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She worked for 30 years at The Jarrett House and The Parkway.
Inez is survived by her daughters, Linda Painter (Paul), Betty Hopkins, Sabrina Poston (Josh); nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Inez is preceded in death by her daughters, Geraldine, Jane, Sandra; son, Robert Brooks; grandson, Bear Painter; sister, Lorene Messer; brother, Claude Brooks.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. Rev. Eddie Stillwell will be officiating. Burial will follow at Greens Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
