Ingrid D. Mazzini, age 86 of Slinger Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, surrounded by her family at Serenity Villa Assisted Living.
Ingrid was born on January 28th, 1938, to her parents Rudolph and Meta Claussen, in Satjendorf, Germany.
After being born and raised in Germany, Ingrid moved to the United States in her early 20's. She lived in Georgia during her first couple of years living in the United States, and later moved to Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, where she was proud to have become a United States citizen on December 6th, 1965. She went on to marry her husband Bruno Mazzini on January 22, 1966, in Fond Du Lac. They moved to Hartford, Wisconsin in 1977, where they raised their two daughters, and were married for almost 50 years. Other than spending time with her family, Ingrid enjoyed collecting dolls, crocheting, flower gardening, being a part of her church choir, and was known as the "gambling grandma" due to her love of scratch offs and the slot machines.
Ingrid is survived by her children, Tina (John) Miller, Julia (Mark) Settje; grandchildren, Nathan Miller, Justin Miller, Mikayla (Jonny) Rasmussen, Jimmy Zignego (Mylen), Amanda Zignego, and Stephanie Zignego; great-grandchildren, James, Braxton, Jackson, Natalie, Jacob, Liam, and Cecilia. She is further survived by her siblings in Germany, and other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruno Mazzini; parents, Rudolph and Meta Claussen; and brothers, Alfred and Wilhem.
