Irene A. Jaremkof - Darby

Irene (Seidel) Jaremkof Darby 93 of Wayne died peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Born in Queens, NY, she resided in Clifton before moving to Wayne 10 years ago. A 1948 graduate of Clifton High School, Irene studied nursing at Mountainside School of Nursing becoming a Registered Nurse. She was employed by Drs. Peter and David De Bell at their Passaic Office for 50 years prior to her retirement in 2004. Irene later volunteered her skills at the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff.
Irene is a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clifton and a former member of their Married Pals group. She was also a member of the Wayne Elks Women's Auxiliary and the Wayne Golden Agers. In her spare time Irene enjoyed needlework, knitting, reading, puzzles and baking as well as a love for flowers and gardening. She also spent most summers at the Jersey Shore with her family.
Irene is predeceased by two husbands, Harry P. Jaremkof in 1993 and Robert T. Darby in 2011, by her son, Harry K. Jaremkof this past June, by her twin sister, Ingeborg E. Koromhas in 2017, by a son in law, Richard Spagnuolo and by a grandson in law, Joseph Lombardo.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Cairoli Spagnuolo of Clifton, by a daughter in law, Maryann Jaremkof of Wayne, by four grandchildren, Stephen Jaremkof and wife, Jaclyn, Kristen Lombardo, Robert Cairoli and wife, Erica, and Philip Cairoli and wife, Christina, and by two great granddaughters, Amelia and Brielle Cairoli.
Funeral services will be held 3:30 Saturday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton. Visiting hours are Saturday 1:00 to 3:30PM. Memorial donations to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 810 Broad St., Clifton, NJ 07013 are preferred to flowers.
