Irene Kyle, age 72, of New Philadelphia passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, in Legends Care Center at Massillon, after a period of declining health.
Born on April 4, 1951, in her family home in Jefferson Township, Ohio.
Irene worked in many fields throughout her working life. However, her favorite job was working at the Tuscarawas County Humane Society. She had a tremendous love for cats, and often adopted new cats through her work.
She is survived by her children, Charlene Guisinger, David (Ashley) Kyle, and Joe (Amy Bigler) Kyle; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Clyde (Sandy) Wright, Walt Smart, and Tom (Jean) Smart; sister, Sally (Tim) Franklin; a special aunt, Mary Welsh; special uncle, Bill Welsh; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Irene is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Florence Smart; sister, Sue Smart-Burton; and brothers, Jim and Will Wright.
A graveside service will be held at Kings United Brethren Church Cemetery, on Kings Ridge Rd (Township Rd. 107), Newcomerstown, Ohio on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 1:30 PM.
