Irene K Warren, Age 85 of Dimondale, Michigan died at home on August 9, 2025, of cancer.

She was born in Barryton, Michigan on April 19, 1940, to Kenneth and Alice (McCall) Cramer.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Mitchell Gibbons and second husband Vernon Warren. She is survived by her daughters Kathy Bigelow, Michelle (David) Conarton, Tammie (Ian) Windischhofer, and Julie (Joe) Montroy. Grandchildren Renee and Heather Bigelow, Alysha (Joshua) Trudgeon, Briana (Ian) Kast, Logan and Grace Windischhofer, and Katie, Jack and Libbie Montroy. Great-grandchildren Wallace, Parker and Arden Kast, and Quinn and John Trudgeon. She is also survived by her sister Clarice Rundquist, brother Lester (Linda) Cramer, and many nieces, nephews, and special cousins.

Irene was quiet and shy but grew into a mighty community organizer in Lansing and then Barryton. She served on the campaign committee of State Representative Lynne Martinez and was a member of ACORN, where she advocated for local and regional reforms to benefit low and moderate-income families and neighborhoods, as well as volunteering at the American Heart Association for many years. Irene also volunteered at the Barryton Area Historical Museum and on the Lilac Fest Committee. She was an avid genealogy researcher for more than 40 years and had more than 48,000 names in her database.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 2-4 pm at the Fork Township Community Center, 3265 20-Mile Rd, Barryton, MI 49305. Donations in Irene's memory can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
