Iris J. Dilan

Iris J. Dilan of Philadelphia, PA died peacefully surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Saturday, August 23, 2025. She was 48.
Born in Philadelphia, Iris was a loving daughter of Teresa Solis and the late Hector I. Dilan.
Iris cherished every moment with her family. Whether it was going out to eat with her daughters or traveling to Puerto Rico to spend time with loved ones, family was always at the center of her joy. Holidays were her favorite time of year-complete with matching pajamas for everyone, even the dogs, Kashi and Eloise. She delighted in planning menus, picking games to play on Christmas, and making sure every gathering felt special. She truly had a gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories.
Iris dedicated much of her life to a career in dentistry, where she quickly became known as the "jack of all trades." She was the go-to person in the office, admired for her expertise and passion for her work. She continued working with dedication until her illness made it no longer possible.
Known for her vibrant personality, Iris was the life of the party-outspoken, loving, and generous. To know her was to love her, and she was admired by countless friends, colleagues, and loved ones. Her four-year battle with cancer was marked by remarkable strength and grace. She never complained, never wanted anyone to feel sorry for her, and continued to live life as fully and joyfully as possible.
Above all, Iris's greatest love was her daughters, Siani and Inais, who were her entire world. Everything she did, she did for them. Her legacy will live on in the love she poured into her family, the joy she spread to everyone around her, and the memories she created that will be cherished forever.
In addition to her mother Teresa, Iris is survived by her loving and devoted daughters Siani E. Romero and Inais Rivera. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Hector I. Dilan, Bobby Dilan, Nicole Dilan, Ivana Dilan, and Billy Dilan
Services and interment for Iris will be private.
