James Edward Campbell

James Edward Campbell, of Doylestown, PA surrounded by his family passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 24, 2025. He was 70 years old.
James was the loving husband of Jeanette (Weber) Campbell. The couple was fortunate to have shared 27 years of friendship, love and family. James was also a devoted father to his children Caitlin Erin Breslin and Alexander Devlin Campbell.
Born in Levittown, PA, James was the son of the late Charles Ray and Delphine Haines Campbell.
James was an accomplished competitive swimmer starting at the young age of 8 through his collegiate years. He loved his swimming memories at Lenape Valley Swim Club, which inspired him to become a long- time life guard in Ocean City, NJ.
James attended Bloomsburg University and joined the Phi Sigma Xi fraternity where he established life-long friends. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business, in 1976.
He cherished time with his family whether it was on vacations, at the Jersey Shore, or Holiday gatherings. An avid outdoorsmen James enjoyed taking his family camping, fishing, boating, or crabbing at the shore. One of his favorite childhood memories was deep sea fishing with his father.
In later years, James took up golf to be around family and good friends. He enjoyed his annual golf trips.
James will be remembered for his easy-going fun-loving nature, his gentle spirit and thoughtfulness. He loved life and was always positive. James was always willing to lend a helping hand. In addition to his wife Jeanette, James will be missed by his children, his son Alexander Campbell, his daughter Caitlin Breslin and her husband John, his grandson and namesake Campbell James Breslin, his sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Scott Soreth; his father-in-law James D. Weber, the Weber family, the Friedman family, and many special nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his best friend and loyal companion, his dog Bella.
Family and friends are invited to greet James's family from 2:30pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home on 214 East Butler Ave (at Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain PA 18901. A funeral service will follow.
