Iris Isabelle Simpson died January 1, 2021, at Fishers (Indiana) St. Vincent hospital. She was 95 years old at time of death.
She was born September 12, 1925, in Leesville, Virginia, the daughter of Cora and Finney Dalton.
She lived in Des Moines, Iowa, until June of 2015 when her
son moved her to Indiana to live with his family.
Isabelle was proceeded in death by her husband Russell E. Simpson, daughter Susan Carter and son-in-law Darol Carter, daughter Annette Simpson, two brothers, and six sisters.
She is survived by her son Russell Simpson his wife Judy Simpson and daughter Stephanie Simpson of Noblesville, Indiana, granddaughter Cynthia Jones and husband Scott Jones and two great-granddaughters Olivia and Emily Winans of Overland Park, Kansas, granddaughter Diana Conder and husband Corey Conder and great-grandson Carter and great-granddaughter Elizabeth of Humboldt, Tennessee, step-grandson Dennis Barger Jr. step-great-grandchildren Alex and Kimberly of Carleton, Michigan, brother-in-law Harold Simpson and niece Mary Prim of Medford, Oregon, nephew Jamie Simpson of Des Moines, Iowa, nephews Timmy Simpson and Dickey Simpson, cousins and many friends.
Burial will be scheduled later this year in Des Moines, Iowa.
