HASLET - Irma Ayala de Torres, 76, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, February 9, 2024.
Funeral Service: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2024, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Mount Olivet Chapel.
Irma was born in Mexico City, Mexico, to Mario and Josefina Ayala. She married Pedro Torres in 1965 and immigrated to Fort Worth, Texas, where she had a beautiful life with their seven children.
Irma worked at Trinity Iron & Steel and then retired from Palm Harbor Homes. She was a dedicated mother who loved her children unconditionally. Once she became a grandmother, her love grew even greater with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She kept in touch with each one of them through daily calls, sweet texts, and always being the ear of comfort.
Irma had a passion for gardening, dancing, grilling, and hosting large gatherings. She LOVED to cook for her family, you knew that you could always go to her house, and she would fix you a plate of tacos or whatever your heart desired.
Irma was a devoted Catholic who attended All Saints Catholic church for over 20 years. She was an animal enthusiast which included an extended family of dogs, cats, birds, iguanas, ducks, chickens, etc.. Our Mom loved them all.
Irma was survived by her children, Pedro/Olga Torres, Laura/Juan Garza, Leticia/Joe Welsh, Yadira/Manuel Castaneda, Michael/Sonya Torres, Luis Torres, and Jose Adrian/Andrea Torres; and a legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
