Irvin Wayne Campbell, 84, of Mooresville, passed away on August 10, 2023, at Life’s Journey Hospice in Avon. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky on March 9, 1939, to the late Pole and Ezella (Williams) Campbell. Irvin attended M.C. He spent most of his enlistment in Alaska where he specialized in transportation and helped construct the Alaskan Highway. Irvin married Lorene Johnson on February 20, 1963, and she survives. He spent 32 years working for Ford Motor Company as a job setter before retiring. After retirement, Irvin attended barber school.
