Isaac "Lester" William Wilhite, age 95, of Columbia, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, at University of Missouri. Lester was born on March 10, 1930, in Rocheport, Missouri to William Overton Wilhite and Ruby Jewell Bryant Roberts. Lester was raised by his mother and stepfather Zim Roberts. Lester was one of sixteen children.
Lester married the love of his life, Carrie Lucille Baker, in Denver, Colorado on September 3, 1948. Lester and Cille had eleven children. The two were married for 57 years when Cille, as Lester called her, passed away on December 29, 2005.
Lester worked as a plumber for many years until he retired. He loved fishing for crappy and any fish for that matter. Lester loved being outside whether it was fishing or sitting watching the deer. Lester had a love for the great outdoors.
Lester is survived by three sons Ronald Wilhite (Evelyn), Randell Dean Wilhite, and Richard Wilhite; two daughters Judy Wilhite, and Roxana Nichols (John A.); his sisters Carol Baker, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Lester is preceded in death by his parents Zim and Ruby Roberts, his wife Lucille, his sons James Wilhite and Michael Wilhite, his daughters Victoria Baker, Patricia Wright, Brenda O'Connor, and Barbara Wilhite, two grandchildren, David Eugene Walters and Missy Walters and fourteen of his siblings as well as his biological father William Wilhite.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Parker-Millard Funeral Service in Columbia, Missouri. Funeral service for Lester will begin following visitation at 12:00pm at Parker-Millard.
