Isabel Moreno, a cherished member of the Bernalillo community, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on February 15, 1946, in Bernalillo, she spent her life nurturing the bonds of family and friendship, leaving a legacy that will long be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Isabel’s journey was marked by an unwavering commitment to her family and a deep dedication to her work. For 17 years, she displayed remarkable talent and determination in the field of Advance Manufacturing, establishing herself as a respected professional. Her educational roots began at Bernalillo High School, where she graduated in 1965, laying the foundation for a life rich with learning and growth.

In her personal life, Isabel was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Juan Moreno, with whom she shared 57 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a nurturing home filled with love and laughter, creating a sanctuary for their five children: Christopher, Johnny, Debbi, Eric, and Jesse. Her spirit resonated in every corner of their lives, as she exhibited a profound passion for cooking and cleaning, often transforming the simplest of moments into cherished memories.

Isabel was a beacon of light, known for her kindness and her heartfelt desire to help others. She actively participated in her community, chaperoning school field trips for Bernalillo Schools and Events, ensuring that the next generation experienced the joy of learning and adventure. Isabel also loved to immerse herself in the rhythms of life, often found enjoying live music and dancing, her laughter ringing through the air as she celebrated the moments that brought her joy.

She is survived by her loving husband, Juan Moreno; her dear children, Christopher Moreno, Johnny Moreno, Debbi Moreno, grand children Eric Moreno, and Jesse Moreno; her sister, Dorthy Lucero; her brother, Louie Lucero, and his wife, Margarita Lucero. They carry forward her spirit, heart, and the love that resonated in their home.

Isabel was preceded in death by her parents, Lucanio and Luguaradita Lucero, and her siblings, Tony, Egnacio, Ramon, Irene King, JR, Lorence, Ronie, and Angie Lucero. Though they have departed, their memories live on through Isabel’s legacy, a testament to the power of family bonds and love.

As we remember Isabel Moreno, let us celebrate her warmth, her laughter, and her unyielding spirit. She touched many lives with her kindness and dedication, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who were privileged to call her family or friend.
