Isabel Munoz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home & Crematory - Historical Downtown Chapel on Nov. 11, 2024.
With profound sadness we announce the transition to the spiritual world of Isabel Munoz, our loving mother, and beloved wife to her husband of 45years, Jorge Munoz. She left us peacefully in her sleep at her residence in Naperville, Illinois on November 11, 2024 (11 11 Angels Day) surrounded by her family, after a long fight with Alzheimer's Disease.
Isabel Munoz was born on December 24, 1957 to parents Romana Ruiz and Adrian Rivera in Chicago, Illinois. At the age of 3, Isabel was brought to live in the area of Cayey-Guavate, Puerto Rico where she was raised by her maternal Grandmother "Mama Isabel" until the age of 13, before returning to Chicago to live with her mother, step-father Carlos Rodriguez, and siblings.
In 1980, Isabel started working in Naperville, IL. for Bell Telephone Labs in the word processing center, and due to her merits of recognition for her professional and technical skills, she received several level promotions up to the engineering level of Senior Technical Associate, and actively worked as a System Test Engineer on the DACS project of Bell Labs until late 2001. In mid-2002 Isabel and her husband founded an Ice Cream Manufacturing corporation, in which her role was an effective Vice President, and in charge of the overall product production.
Isabel was a loving and dedicated mother, wife, and grandmother first and foremost. She treasured her time spent with her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as "Bela" to her grandchildren. Isabel was genuine, kind-hearted, and patient. She radiated warmth, kindness, and tenderness touching the lives of those who knew her. Isabel loved being surrounded by her husband and children. It was the simple things that brought her happiness and peace such as when the family was united, laughing and happy. A wonderful mother who was always there when needed, making sure that all of her children and grandbabies equally felt her unconditional love for each one of them. She was very maternal and never failed to offer any of us her support, wisdom, clarity, and abundant love. A friend to many, always planting her love, she was a cherished member of the community to those who knew her in Naperville. Skilled at various things that she also thoroughly enjoyed doing such as crocheting, salsa dancing with her husband, cooking ethnic foods, baking, and her love for coffee. Isabel was a strong woman of her Catholic Faith and made it a point to instill her faith in her children from an early age. We will always remember her for her strength, resilience, and beauty.
She is survived by her husband, Jorge Munoz, her 4 children, Jorge A. Munoz, Lorena Munoz Koslow, Lucia Munoz Fallat, Yesenia Torres, 9 grandchildren, Madaline, Sofia, Ella, Emilio, Isaac, David, Avery, Yeseri, and Kodi. Stepfather Carlos Rodriguez, Siblings: Adrian, Nelly, Carlos Jr., Robert, Javier, Migdalia and Yamilet.
