A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Reverend Stephen Sahayaraj Irudayasamy will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 13, 2024, at St Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church honoring the life of Isabelle P. Gallet, 87, who passed away on December 9, 2024 at Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM and will resume on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 12:45 PM when the procession will depart for the church. She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Isabelle was born on December 19, 1936, in Kaplan. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who loved to babysit all kids, and she was known for her seafood gumbo. She enjoyed eating out and playing Bingo and Pokeno.
She is survived by her children; Robert Gallet (Letty) of Abbeville, Peggy Landry of Duson, Yvette G. Vincent of Kaplan, and Theresa G. Hargrave (William) of Berwick; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Herpin (Darren), Justin Gallet, Ronnie Mire, Noah K. Landry, Cristy Ross (Brandon), Joshua Vincent (Jessica), Tessie Falgout (Matt), and Brooke LaSalle (Nick); 22 great-grandchildren and expecting one great great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Harrington; her parents, Alexice Primeaux and the former Oneida Doucet; former husband, Adam Gallet and her son in law, Daniel K. Landry.
