Isaiah "Zay" Francisco Clark
September 8, 2002 – March 18, 2024
Isaiah "Zay" Clark, beloved son, brother, friend, and cherished member of the community, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2024, at the age of 21. Isaiah's bright light touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Isaiah was born on September 8, 2002, surrounded by love. From a young age, he exhibited a boundless curiosity and an infectious enthusiasm for life. His magnetic personality drew people to him, forging lifelong friendships and connections wherever he went. He was known for his infectious smile and love for his family and friends.
A graduate of the U.S. Aviation Academy in Krum, TX, Isaiah was known for his remarkable intellect and his passion for learning. He pursued his studies with dedication, completing Aircraft Mechanic School in October 2023. He formed many great friendships during his time at school, and he looked forward to starting his career as an aircraft mechanic. Isaiah worked for several years as a ramp agent at Southwest Airlines.
Isaiah possessed a rare depth of kindness and compassion. He had a remarkable ability to empathize with others, offering support and encouragement without hesitation. Whether lending a listening ear or sharing a comforting smile, Isaiah's presence had a calming effect on those around him.
Isaiah's love for his friends and family was beyond reproach. He never knew a stranger and was always looking to help anyone in need. Zay was dedicated, committed, and loved by anyone who knew him.
Isaiah often dreamed and shared stories of working hard, earning lots of money, and buying a large house to take care of his family. Isaiah never had a bad day. Anyone who knew him loved him. When he entered the room, his smile and positive attitude changed the entire atmosphere.
Above all else, Isaiah will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and friends. He cherished every moment spent in their company, treasuring the bonds that held them together. His laughter echoed everywhere he went, a constant reminder of the joy he brought into the world.
Isaiah is survived by his parents Jason and Vanessa Smith and Francisco and Nuria Clark. Siblings: Arely (Pati), Rese, Keila, Peyton, Cisco, and Xavien. Cousins: Grace, Alex, Andrew, Elias, and Marcos. Grandparents: Mark and Janie Van Noy and George Clark. Aunts and Uncles: Theresa, Sal, Diana, and Juan. His lifelong friend Allen Mason and numerous other friends and co-workers.
He is preceded in death by his great grandmothers Juanita Garcia and Dell McRae, and his uncle David Parada.

Isaiah was 1 of the familiar faces in our Farmers Branch neighborhood. He and my middle daughter were friends and they played outside many afternoons and weekends starting in 4th or maybe 5th grade. He was such a sweetheart and always such a well mannered boy . He made all of the kids laugh! My daughter, Lola, was especially smitten with him.

He was her 1st crush, and although I was suspicious at the time, I never knew until recently that Isaiah and Lola were each other´s 1st kiss...a quick smooch that probably lasted 3 seconds that was followed by the reddening cheeks of 2 slightly embarrassed kiddos. Zay and Lola remained friends but nothing more than friends. Though they were not close in the years that followed that 1 time puppy love smooch, Lola has always held a special place in her heart for Zay. When she heard the tragic news that Zay was gone, she called me in tears. Not understanding how a beautiful young soul who had so much good in him could be taken so soon, she sobbed and repeated, "He was just a good human. One of the best, good humans."

I think the fact that Zay, even as a child, left such a huge impression on my Lola and so many is truly a testament to the positivity and love he brought those who shared even a brief encounter with him during his time on earth. Our hearts hurt for his family and friends, and for the loss of 1 of the best, good humans.
