Ivan Layne Frost

Ivan was born on December 7th, 1960. He was 6th of 10 children born to H and Nellie Frost. In the morning of July 22nd, 2025, Ivan said goodbye to his family, friends and his faithful sidekick Sam and headed out on his eternal fishing trip.
Ivan is survived by his sweetheart of 20 years, Lynn Frost. His children Kim Swapp, Crystal Frost and Justin (Coti) Frost along with 5 grandkids. He was also a stepdad and grandpa to several others who came into his life over the years.
Ivan worked at many jobs throughout his life but his love of working with wood and building things, a talent he learned from his dad, held a special place in his heart.
In spite of the many health struggles brought on by diabetes including loss of sight, he never stopped working and doing the things he enjoyed. He took great pride in the fact that he was able to build his own house. He enjoyed raising exotic chickens and had a green thumb when it came to gardening.
Ivan loved to fish. At any given opportunity you could find him with his sister Shanna or brother Shane near a body of water, fishing lines cast out. Tall tales and laughter filled the air about the one that got away.
Ivan is a son, brother, dad, grandpa and friend. He was also a cantankerous soul with a heart of gold. He will be missed but never forgotten by all who shared the path with him.
There will be a celebration of life at the Old Rock Church in Mt Carmel, Utah on Saturday August 2nd, 2025 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM
