Ivan McSparren

Ivan Carl McSparren, 77, of Armstrong, MO, formerly of the Moberly area passed away Monday, August 22, 2022. He was born March 1, 1945 in Salisbury, Mo. to the union of the late Claude and Mary (Saunders) McSparren. Also preceding him in death were his wife, Viola Price, a brother Clifford McSparren, sisters Mildred McSparren, Joyce Hood and Vivian McSparren, and a grandchild Jordan Lee McSparren.
Ivan had worked for the Randolph County Road Department, Randolph County Sheriff s office, and the Missouri department of Corrections from which he retired.
Survivors include four children Carla Sue Howard and her husband Shawn of Marionville, Mo, Mark Ivan McSparren and his wife Jill Cook-McSparren of Alvord, TX, Michael Lance McSparren and his wife Jennifer of Springfield, Mo, and Julianne Wisdom of Armstrong, Mo, mother of the children and former wife Kathy Hendren-McSparren, 11 grandchildren Christopher and Kristi Wilson, Tyler and Laura Wilson, Annie McSparren, Quenton Paul McSparren, Chase Ridgley, Brendan and Kelsey Waynick, Bailey Waynick, Aaron Hill, Alexis McSparren, Ashlyn and Damian Sutton, Adyson Wisdom, 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Church of God in Moberly or Faith in Action Ministries of Hot Springs, AR.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation that was held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, followed by Funeral Services honoring and celebrating Ivan s life. Private committal words and prayer will take place at a later date.
