Obituary Ivan W. Tinno Jr.
Ivan W. Tinno Jr., 58, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in Pocatello, Idaho.
Ivan was born April 28, 1967 in Lander, Wyoming, the son of Phyllis Mae Ute and Ivan J. Tinno Sr.
Ivan has lived at Fort Washakie WY, Fort Hall ID and San Francisco CA. He attended school in Oregon.
He was a member of the Native American Church and was a singer. He was also a member of the Buffalo Lodge.
Ivan worked as a cook and a hairdresser.
He enjoyed beading, cooking, singing and dancing. He taught the Shoshone language. He enjoyed traveling with Kenlee and Keanon.
Ivan is survived by his sister, Yolanda Ute and brother Lagrand Coby, Kenlee and Keanon Tinno and 10 grandchildren, and families Tinno, Coby, Ute, Hebah, Nipwater, Clair, Perry and Tillman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phyllis Mae Ute and Ivan J. Tinno Sr.; his siblings, Virginia Mink, Sheryl Mink, and Wayland Coby; aunts and uncles, Veltha Wheeler, Sandra Ute, Rose Hebah, Manuel Ute, Darwin Ute, Anita Nipwater, Lyell Ute, Wallace Hebah, Melina Perry and Delphine Clair; grandparents, Birdie Arron, Poney Ute, Orlean Ute, Franklin Ute, and Nanny Ute.
Ivan will be taken to the Buffalo Lodge at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2025. Traditional burial will be Friday afternoon in the Sand Hill Cemetery.
