Obituary Lauri Lin Aubrey
I was born September 18, 1965 in Miami Florida. I lived in Miami until around the age of ten years old. We moved around a lot. I lived in Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, and Utah and finally settled down in Idaho. I consider Blackfoot my home. I was the only daughter of Lanier Cantrell and Linda Carolyn Stark. My step dad was Robert Stark Sr. I had a fun childhood playing at the beach, playing outdoors, going to Disney World and enjoying the outdoors. My hobbies include yoga, reading, camping, cooking and spending time with my family. I graduated in 1983 at Oviedo High School in Florida. In school I was in various sports and participated in dance corps. I have a genuine love of animals, people and a good simple life. I loved the 80's and all the big hair, rock and roll bands and all the music. I have two sisters, Staci Shimkus, and Sherri Turner, and a brother Bobby Stark (spouse Cassie). On my dad's side of the family I have one sister, Tanya Cantrell and four brothers' Michael Whaley (spouse Lyn), Damon Cantrell (spouse Kelly), Paul Cantrell (Jamie) and Brandon Cantrell. I met the love of my life and best friend in Michigan, Rob Aubrey, who introduced me to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints which started my strong relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is an amazing person, son, husband and papa. We were married in Blackfoot on June 20th 1992 and sealed in the Idaho Falls temple on February 12th, 1994. We have been blessed with seven wonderful children; Brandi Conn, Kristi Ortiz, Ashlei Peterson (spouse Kaleb), Kennedy Aubrey, Addison Aubrey, Preston Aubrey and Payton Aubrey. We have ten wonderful grandchildren: Kaden Conn, Masen Conn, Deagan Martin, Holdan Martin, Jozei Martin, Tyler Ortiz, Mia Ortiz, Terris Ortiz, Talon Ortiz and Everly Rumsey who we love and adore. Most of my career life was working with children, they have my heart.
I have the best in-laws, Bob, Toni and Kaye (Graduated) Aubrey. I am so grateful for them. Brother and sister in-laws, Garren (Debbie) Aubrey, Steve Aubrey, Shelley (Bill) Kinghorn.
If you know me very well you know I love my entire family so very much. I'm so proud of each one of you, my family and friends mean the world to me, you have all been so good to me. I am a better person because of you. I love you and will always be with you.
Family who has graduated: Cora MaryJane Clark (grandma), Whitney and Donna Johnson (grandparents, Linda Stark (mother), Lanier Cantrell (father), Kaye Aubrey (mother in-law), Tayna Cantrell (sister), Steve Aubrey (brother in-law), Ruthanne Johnson (Aunt).
I've had such a good life and feel so blessed to have lived in such a loving and caring community. Thank you.
